The Computer Technology Center "Transport Automated Information Systems" has existed since 2005. During this time, many projects have been completed.

Many people think that once created and placed in the Web resource can independently exist for any length of time. Unfortunately, this is just a misconception, although widespread.

First of all, the time of life of any Web – resource is limited to the term of registration of the domain name: as a rule – 1 year. One month before the end of the registration period, the owner must submit a request to his registrar for its renewal. Otherwise, the domain name will be released without your participation and the application for it will be able to apply to others who wish.

To avoid increasing the volume (and cost) of hosting, old materials should be periodically archived and systematized, especially if they are frequently updated. Unprintable expressions left on the forum by any mentally incompetent visitor or spam in the guestbook will not please either you or visitors to the site: they must be removed in a timely manner.

Do not forget about such things as technical failures of the server hosting provider, errors of program modules, not identified by the manufacturer at the testing stage, virus and hacker attacks. And although such things do not happen often, the advantages of technical support in this situation can hardly be overestimated: a specialist “from scratch” will restore the functionality of the resource within 15-30 minutes or will promptly contact the hosting provider to clarify the causes and timing of troubleshooting on the server side.

The main works on technical support of the site include:

  • Advertising, increasing visibility, rating and citation index
  • Adding new pages and sections;
  • Archiving databases;
  • Updating of information, archiving of old materials;
  • Updating versions of program modules (as they are released);
  • Adding the resource to new catalogs and search engines;
  • Periodic mailing of news, announcements;
  • Statistics and feedback, virus and spam control;
  • Moderation of forums, guestbook, etc.;
  • Operational recovery.
